UPSC have recently published the recruitment notification for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant (AC) posts is various Central Armed Police Forces for total 424 no. of Vacancies. This is a joint Recruitment notification for 4 Armed Forces i.e. Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). But the recruitment drive is going to organized by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Eligibility Criteria for UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Exam

Age Eligibility: A candidate’s age must be in between 20 years to 25 years as on date 1st Aug’13. Age relaxation Applied according to Govt. Rules.

Education Qualification: Graduation Degree from a recognized university.

Special Instruction for Female candidates: Female candidates could not apply for BSF and ITBP.

Important Dates:
Last Date for online application form submission: 05/8/2013
Written Test would be organized by UPSC on Date: 20/10/2013

Call letters/ Admit Cards: UPSC would not send any admit cards to postal address, However The admit cards for Assistant commandant exam would be available to download at Commissions website www.upsc.gov.in before few weeks from the date of Exam.

Selection Process and Exam pattern for CPF Assistant commandant Recruitment 2013

Selection Process: Written test followed by Physical Efficiency Tests and then Interview/Personality Test.

Exam Pattern: There would be a Written test consists of a 450 marks and after qualifying written test Candidates would have to go through Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Final Interview would have weight of 150 marks.

There would be two written Papers.

  1. General Ability and Intelligence: 250 marks, and
  2. Essay, Précis Writing and Comprehension: 200 marks.

There would be negative marking of 1/3rd marks of the wrong answered questions in Objective type question paper.
